Client Information: Mr. Hu
Shipping Route: Moving from Xi'an to Singapore;
Case Summary: Mr. Hu from Xi'an entrusted Seapoe Relo with shipping his personal furniture to Singapore.
Singapore is known as the "Garden City," with evergreen seasons, clean air, and a beautiful environment. It has a sound legal system, social stability, economic prosperity, well-developed transportation, and complete infrastructure. Combined with its high proportion of ethnic Chinese and shared cultural roots, it is an ideal destination for many Chinese emigrants. Mr. Hu from Xi'an, who is relocating to Singapore, recently entrusted Seapoe Relo with shipping his furniture and belongings from China to Singapore.
When moving from Xi'an to Singapore, the first thing to understand is the cost. International moves mostly use sea freight, and charges are based on the volume of items, with a minimum shipment of 2 cubic meters. The volume is determined by the data provided by the customs supervised warehouse. Now that you know the billing method, if you want to control your moving budget, you need to start by controlling the volume of items, which requires professional packing. Seapoe's packing team makes full use of item space when packing to reduce packaging volume and thereby save on moving costs. Below is the packing scene from that day:
When packing, if you want to make full use of space, some items can be packed together. For example, with Mr. Hu's armchair, cushions, clothes, and similar items can be placed inside the chair and packed together. Also, if there are cabinets, quilts, clothing, and other lightweight items can be placed inside them. If packing large furniture items such as beds, cabinets, and tables, they can be disassembled for packing. Disassembly not only makes handling easier but also better ensures the safety of the items. It also reduces the volume somewhat after disassembly, which saves on shipping costs.
In addition, for other costs involved in moving from Xi'an to Singapore, Seapoe includes them when preparing the quotation (such as port charges at the origin and destination ports, customs health inspection or inspection and quarantine fees) and reflects them in the shipping contract, with no hidden fees passed on to the customer.
It is worth noting that some international moving companies typically require customers to pay on an actual-cost basis and ask customers to pay the incurred costs to their destination port agent, or simply list potential costs in the contract as costs that may be incurred and pass them on to the customer. Therefore, when moving from Xi'an to Singapore, choose a professional international moving company. Your belongings will be safer during the move, and you won't encounter the frustrating situation of arbitrary charges—making your move easy and pleasant.
